About

I’m a planner living in Minneapolis and working in the Twin Cities region.  I’m a LEED accredited professional and a member of AICP.  I’ve worked primarily in the private sector but have recently begun a new adventure in the public sector.

As I do this job, I get interested in a lot of things.  I like high-speed rail and slow food (and fast food, for that matter).  I like technology and simple solutions.  I like dense cities and wide open wilderness.  I’m fascinated by transportation: bikes, cars, buses, trains and feet.  I think a lot about our energy future.  I like to go to work to solve problems.  At my best I would describe myself as a polymath for the common good.

This is a blog about planning, sustainability, energy, technology, the Twin Cities and maybe even some politics.  Read, enjoy and contribute.

If you find that blog posts are just too long, you can follow me on Twitter: @sustenance.
